Official Bio
Thomas Lai is a meditation teacher and intermodal expressive arts therapist in training who helps people from diverse backgrounds cultivate love, resilience and belonging in uncertain times. He is fully certified in the Realization Process, an innovative method for embodied personal and relational healing and spiritual growth.
His struggle to find happiness by relying on his intellect led him to a profound truth echoed in Eastern and Indigenous wisdom as well as neuroscience: embracing our right-brain and embodied experience is essential for a holistic, meaningful existence. He believes that the contemplative and expressive arts can help us heal our disconnection to the natural world, others, and oneself.
He is the founder of Lifted Being and a student therapist at The CREATE Institute. As a facilitator of human development, he has worked for organizations such as Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, The RAFT, and MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions.
He lives in Toronto, Ontario, near the Don River. When he isn't working and studying, he likes to walk in nature, have meaningful conversations with friends while making art, and explore cuisines from different cultures.
